Coleus coerulescens – Succulent Plant
The woody grey-brown stems bear ovate fleshy succulent blue-green leaves whose margins are very finely toothed or not at all. The inflorescence is a short spike of pale-blue boat-shaped flowers.
Coleus is a member of the mint family, with its characteristic square stems and oppositely arranged leaves. It’s actually a heat-loving herbaceous perennial, but is usually treated as an annual, since even the slightest breath of frost will turn it to mush.
