Michelia Champa, Son Champa ( Orange, Grafted ) – Plant
Magnolia champaca, known in English as champak, is a large evergreen tree in the Magnoliaceae family. Michelia Champaca is a synonym of Magnolia champaca. It known for its fragrant flowers, and its timber used in woodworking. Champa is very well known flower native to India, and popular for its fragrant flowers. Flowers are fragrant, yellow, inverted landscaped. Buds, young twigs, young petioles, and young leaf blades are pale yellow velvet hairy. Twigs are ascending and forming a narrow umbelliform crown.
Care for Michelia Champa
- Prune trees to remove wayward, broken, dead, or diseased branches and limbs, or for safety around utility lines.
- Apply any organic fertilizer as Champa is a moderately heavy feeder and requires consistent levels of nutrients during the active growing season.
